Kavan Shay bio

Kavan is a Peoria native and a graduate of Richwoods High School. He attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he graduated with high honors with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Kavan began his career in downtown Chicago in Intellectual Property Consulting and Commercial Real Estate. In 2014, he moved back to Peoria to open The Blue Duck Barbecue Tavern in the historic River Station on Peoria’s picturesque downtown riverfront. After 7 years of successful restaurant operation, Kavan decided to sell The Blue Duck to focus solely on his real estate career.

Kavan has deep personal and professional experience with residential, investment, and commercial properties, along with farm and recreational ground—with a particular emphasis on luxury residential properties. If it involves real estate, Kavan has the experience and knowledge to get the job done for his clients.
